The Association was founded in 1991 and is the result of many dedicated Thayers as well as non-Thayers with a common goal to see where they came from and the history involved in this truly remarkable surname. The TFA founders stated goal was  “To sponsor development, publication, and distribution of a rigorously researched Thayer Genealogy” so that anyone could learn about their ancestry and the history of this truly remarkable surname. TFA is a Family Association, incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as a non-profit corporation, under the name "Thayer Families Association".

Everyone in the Thayer Families Association is offering you a wonderful experience to meet your cousins, some you may already know, and some you probably have never met, or even knew existed.
